The C63 Committee was founded in 1934 and it continues to be a major United States EMC standards developer focused on both emission and immunity measurements, instrumentation and resources for EMC test lab competency including quality control. Its standards are highly diversified. The uniqueness of the committee is the close link of its EMC standards with the needs of manufacturers and testing organizations and the acceptance of its standards by US regulatory organizations such as the Federal Communications Commission, which references several C63 standards in its Rules. The diversity of its forty active members provides extensive representation of the stakeholders.
